Dr. Mitchell Miller graduated with an Honors degree in Psychology and then earned his Doctorate in Dentistry from McGill University in 2003.
After a general practice residency through McGill at the JGH and several years in general dental practice in Montreal, he completed his Masters in Clinical Orthodontics at the University of Western Ontario in 2009.
Following both his general dental and specialty orthodontic training, Dr. Miller was honored with several major awards for both academic achievement and patient care.
He taught at McGill University as a faculty lecturer and clinical instructor since 2004 and operated his private orthodontic practice in Montreal before moving to Toronto in 2010 to begin seeing patients at our current Newmarket location.
Since that time we have seen our Miller Ortho family continue to grow, as Dr. Miller continues to devote his time to award-winning customer service, quicker results with less discomfort and fewer appointments, and outstanding treatment outcomes using all of the latest proven technologies.
Committed to Orthodontics
Dr. Miller is an active member of both the American and Canadian Associations of Orthodontists, the Ontario Dental Association and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of Orthodontics.
Dr. Miller served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists for many years, and served as the OAO President from 2017-2018.
Outside the Office
Dr. Miller and his wife Julie are kept busy by their teenage boy-girl twins and youngest daughter.
Julie holds degrees in international business and marketing, elementary school education and currently owns and operates her own apparel business for young children and teens, Poprocks Inc. She also works behind the scenes at Miller Orthodontics managing all of our social media and community events.
When he’s not busy creating beautiful smiles,
Dr. Miller can usually be found in various hockey arenas around the GTA supporting his goaltender son’s rep hockey team, or shuttling his daughters to various activities.
